Charging
- Use an adapter with the correct rating to charge PORTAL.
- The LED will stay on while charging.
→ We recommend fully charging the battery before use.

⚠️
Charging may fail if you use an adapter that doesn’t meet the required rating, such as a multi-port adapter.

Water Resistance
All parts of the PORTAL body, except for the USB-C charging connector, are designed to be water-resistant against running water. Therefore, it’s perfectly fine if water flows over the device during use or when rinsing it.
However, please note the following precautions:
- If the display window or buttons are damaged, water resistance will be lost. (Removing the bottom silicone pad or unscrewing the bottom plate will also compromise water resistance.)
- ⚠️ It’s fine if the USB-C connector gets briefly wet, but leaving it wet for an extended time or connecting a charger while it’s wet may cause damage. ‼️
- The device is resistant to running or splashing water, but do not submerge it in water.
Cleaning Instructions
- Except for the USB-C charging connector, the entire device is splash-resistant, so you can gently rinse it under running water. You may also use a mild detergent if needed.
- At the end of the day, it’s best to wash it with water and a small amount of mild detergent. However, during short breaks between multiple brew measurements, simply shaking off any remaining water without removing the sensor cover should not significantly affect the next measurement. Alternatively, give it a quick rinse with hot water and gently tap the drain side on a tissue to remove excess water near the sensor—this helps prevent any impact on the following measurement.
